輥道是利用圓筒式的輥?zhàn)又D(zhuǎn)動(dòng)來輸送軋件的運(yùn)輸設(shè)備。它把軋制生產(chǎn)過程的各個(gè)工序互相聯(lián)結(jié)起來。實(shí)現(xiàn)操作機(jī)械化，大大改善勞動(dòng)條件，提高生產(chǎn)效率，為實(shí)現(xiàn)自動(dòng)化操作提供條件。

軋機(jī)上的工作輥道又有輸入輥道和輸出輥道之分，在軋件進(jìn)輥之一方稱為輸入輥道，出輥之一方稱為輸出輥道。即從加熱爐至熱軋機(jī)者稱為輸入輥道，從熱軋機(jī)至下工序者稱為輸出輥道，在輸出和輸入輥道的兩端延長(zhǎng)部分稱為延伸輥道。
