冷床是中小型棒材車間不可缺少的輔助設(shè)備之一。它的功能是將軋機(jī)軋制后經(jīng)飛剪剪切成倍尺長度的棒材, 輸送并卸到冷床齒條上冷卻, 使其溫度由900℃降至100 ～ 300℃。

流態(tài)冷床法的基本原理是：利用一定速度的氣流吹動(dòng)沸騰床上的固體顆粒，使之處于懸浮運(yùn)動(dòng)狀態(tài)，依靠煤氣在流態(tài)層中的燃燒，使流態(tài)層具有要求的溫度，線材從中通過時(shí)冷卻，完成奧氏體的分解轉(zhuǎn)變。
