工字鋼也稱為鋼梁（英文名稱 I Beam)，是截面為工字形狀的長條鋼材。工字鋼分普通工字鋼和輕型工字鋼，H型鋼三種。工字鋼廣泛用于各種建筑結(jié)構(gòu)、橋梁、車輛、支架、機械等。

薄板的寬度為500~1500毫米；厚的寬度為600~3000毫米。薄板按鋼種分，有普通鋼、鋼、合金鋼、不銹鋼、工具鋼、耐熱鋼、軸承鋼、硅鋼和工業(yè)純鐵薄板等。
